Cooling Towers And Its Usefulness - Netra Infra Tech Pvt. Ltd.

Cooling Towers are one of the most important parts of any industries and manufacturing units. Almost every manufacturing industry requires a heat removal device to remove their waste heat. Cooling towers were first used commercially for the power plants more than hundred years ago. Even now nothing could replace cooling towers for the heat waste removal of power plants. Power plants are conveniently situated beside a water body so as to facilitate the operations of the cooling towers. The cooling towers in India have come into commercial use when the industries started to develop.

The cooling towers have since developed and used advanced technology to consume less energy and dissipate more heat effectively and efficiently. Now cooling towers are available in different variety and each of the variety has their unique features that are required by some specific industries. One of the most common yet widely used cooling towers is the FRP cooling tower. These types of cooling towers are made from a material that is glass reinforced plastic. They are available in square types and upright bottle types.

The FRP cooling tower is normally used as an industrial cooling tower and they are mechanical counter flow tower. The FRP cooling towers will suck in the hot air or heat waste from the bottom and take it through the tower to discharge it at the top. In a FRP cooling tower the water travels from the tops and the air travels from the bottom and that is why the water droplets gets more time to contact with the hot air. The FRP cooling towers cool the air with the process of evaporation as well as balanced amount of water circulation.

The natural draft cooling tower is also known as the hyperbolic cooling tower. The operation of the natural draft cooling tower involves the hot air to travel upwards through the draft towers while the cool air drifts through inlets in the tower. This type of cooling towers does not require a fan to cool down air. This is because of the design and layout of the natural draft cooling tower. The design of this tower does not let the hot air to circulate and that is why it does not require a fan. The natural draft cooling tower construction requires concrete material and the height of these towers can up to 200meters.

For very big industries or power plants the RCC natural draft cooling towers are used and some people also chooses the FRP natural draft cooling towers to maintain affordable cost.

The induced draft counter flow cooling towers functions more like the natural draft but it requires fan to induce the airflow in the tower and this tower also makes the air to move horizontally and not vertically like other cooling towers. The best induced draft counter flow cooling tower company in the country make some of the most technologically advanced cooling towers that are required in various industries and plants. While the cooling towers will never go out of use, they will get more efficient with time.
